| Taka Hayashi pulled out all the stops for this first ever J-Lay Mid, these shoes have got it all. There's the unconventional upper materials such as pony hair (that's right, pony hair. Don't worry - no ponies were harmed) & baseball glove leather with a pig skin lining that features screen embossed Taka artwork. I'm a little confused by the natural wooden beads on square leather laces but they look insane. There's also the tonal screen printed artwork on the outsole which is a subtle but nice touch. But for me, it's the laser etching and unique perf designs that put this shoe in a league of it's own. You really must see these shoes to believe them. |
